FAQs

  • I specialize in small-scale, fine line, micro-realism tattoos. I especially love doing portraits (people and pets) art/illustration reproduction (with permission unless dead or famous), objects, film stills, vintage photographs, tiny tattoos, and related. Basically if there’s a photo I’m usually down to do it!

I don’t generally make major changes to photos and I don’t draw designs from scratch. I will not recreate other people’s tattoos.

If you’re curious about a tattoo idea you have in mind, feel free to reach out via my booking form here and I’ll let you know if it’s in my wheelhouse!

  • To begin the process of booking an appointment, please fill out the form here. If you’re unable to submit the form, send all the required information from the form to my email.

Please read the instructions on the booking form thoroughly, submissions that don’t include the necessary info may be deleted.

  • Most tattoos are in the $320-500 range, which is 1-2hrs. My actual rate is $150 + $175/hr. This can range from a very small tattoo that takes 30mins costing $240 to a very large tattoo (or multiple tattoos) that takes 3hrs total costing $675 (half day rate).

  • A $100 deposit is required to book the appointment slot. I accept Venmo or PayPal for the deposit.

For payment after the tattoo, I require at least $200 paid in cash. The rest of the payment can be made via Zelle.

  • Yes! I can provide a rough quote based on design, size, and location, but this does not guarantee final price. I am generally able to scale down the tattoo to fit a smaller budget if necessary, but it is the design more than size that contributes to final price. For reference, I spend about 30mins per square inch on average depending on the design.

Please use a ruler when providing your desired size so I can provide an accurate quote. Usually all my tattoos end up between 2-3.5” on the longest side. The best way to size your tattoo is to print out sizes to try in the mirror. This is what we do at the beginning of the appointment to finalize the size!

  • Deposits are non-refundable. A $50 non-refundable fee is required to reschedule the appointment and keep the original deposit. Day-of reschedules and cancellations forfeit the deposit.

You must reschedule if you are sick or have been exposed to COVID.

  • Generally cover ups aren’t suited to my style of work except in rare cases. It really depends on how dark the original tattoo is and what you’re trying to cover it with. Feel free to reach out via my booking form or email with photos of your idea and the existing tattoo.

  • No, tattoos are booked by design and are by appointment only.

  • Session length, location, and design affect how much pain you will experience. However, most people consider tattoos painful but manageable! Fine line tattoos can feel more painful than others due to the small needle grouping and working within such a small area, especially beyond the 2hr mark. Personally I prefer getting shaded work over getting lines pulled.

We can take a break at any point during the session. If it’s feeling extra painful, we can spray Bactine which has a low level of lidocaine (numbing agent) after the first pass. You are also welcome to bring a stronger lidocaine spray or apply a numbing cream beforehand. However, I am not responsible for reactions to lidocaine or unexpected healing after using topical numbing creams.

  • Yes! I am a licensed tattoo artist using only the safest and highest quality materials. All supplies are single-use disposable and proper barrier methods are used on non-disposable objects. Please notify me if you have any allergies. With any tattoo, there is always a slight chance of allergic reaction to ink, however it is very rare with black inks and even rarer with quality inks. If you have gotten tattoos before without a problem you should be totally fine getting additional tattoos! If you have any questions regarding tattoo safety, feel free to contact me.
